On one side are the pictures of the Black Turtle, the Green Dragon and the Red Phoenix together with crossed swords which is symbolic of warding off evil influences and providing protection. On the other side are four instruments which symbolise the dispelling of negative energy. They are a pair of flutes, a gourd, a fan and a scroll.
